February - March 2026: Program Updates
The H.I.T. Program launched its 6th edition in Geneva on 5–6 February 2026, welcoming 28 women professors from all Swiss universities preparing for institutional leadership roles in academia.
Kickoff, Campus Biotech
The get‑together session on 5 February, facilitated by Dr. Sarah Shephard, offered space for participants to exchange academic leadership experiences and discuss their career goals. An inspiring alumnae panel from the University of Geneva shared insights into institutional academic leadership, providing motivation and encouragement for the new cohort.
On 6 February, Prof. Marianne Schmid Mast led a leadership workshop exploring the challenges of leadership in higher education through discussions, reflection rounds, and practical exercises.
Leadership Coaching
On 3 March, participants met virtually with their professional coaches. During this session, they were introduced to different coaching approaches and styles, helping them understand how coaching will support their individual development throughout the program.
All professors have now selected the coach who will accompany them on their personal leadership journey. The individual coaching sessions will run throughout the program until October 2026.
